Rare Suffolk Iron Foundry LTD, manual coffee grinder dated 1920 Refurbished not restored…. A great working grinder if you want evenly sized grounds with little dust. This was in bad shape when I bought it at a Goodwill store. I paint-stripped the peeling red paint, sand-blasted all the surfaces as best I could, cleaned the two gears, added bearings and washers, added a porcelain handle to the metal grounds bin, added an antique wooden handle and brass adjustment screw to the right wheel, added a wood platform with non skid padding, waxed the cast iron parts, and found a lid that slightly fits its not as nice as the original top would have been, but works. You can see that some of the original paint that would not come off even with course aluminum oxide sandblasting is still on the inside of the hopper and metal grounds bin. Also bits of red that would not release from inside the lettering on the wheels and base I have one like this in my kitchen that I use every day, adjusted to my favorite grounds size.
