Dialing in the 58mm flat stainless steel burrs with the stepless micrometric adjustments of the sturdy metal grinding collar couldn’t be simpler. Whether you’re dialing your K3 touch grinder in for an espresso or your favorite other brew methods you can easily make the most minute adjustments with the precision intuitive control system. Manual and Automatic Dosing. Once you’ve dialed in the grind on your Compak grinder and filled the 275g bean hopper, you have two available dosing options. The automatic dosing option, which is time-based, is exceptionally convenient in your cafe or home for easy control and consistency of shot quality. The new timer dial location at the front of the grinder is hugely convenient, unlike the previous model where it resided underneath the ground tray. Tap once on the portafilter flap and get a single dose, as specified by your time, tap twice for a double. This simple method is great for consistency, but if you prefer manual dosing the Compak K3 Touch can do that too! Our preferred method for home use is to switch the K3 Touch into manual mode by switching the Compak grinder’s power switch to the back-most position. With the manual dosing option selected we prefer removing the bean hopper and replacing it with the single dose cup (not included).
