The BG version of the Baratza Forte is built with coarser grind methods in mind and has many commercial components to go along, like the touch screen interface, stainless steel housing and adjustment sliders, and 54 mm stainless steel burrs. While this grinder has stepped adjustments, its wide range of 260 options gives you a lot to fine tune your settings, including macro and micro adjustments. The Forte BG’s powerful motor turns slowly, which generates less heat and noise as a result, and is equipped with a thermal cut-off switch that automatically resets itself in the case of overheating to protect the machine from damage. This grinder is quite the powerhouse, with a powerful motor, and a new drive ratio, pulley, and belt-drive system compared to its predecessor, the Vario.
